Uninstall/reinstall Flash; get current version

Smilebox is a Flash-based program and requires an up-to-date version to work successfully.

To get the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, please complete the steps below.

Step 1: Close Smilebox and Uninstall Flash (ActiveX version)

To uninstall Flash, open the Control Panel and click on Programs and Features (or Add/Remove Programs).

Please note: For Windows 8 customers, it will not be possible to uninstall Adobe Flash.

Locate the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX version and click Uninstall

Step 2: Verify that you no longer have Flash

Click the following link: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/

This link will tell you whether or not Flash was successfully uninstalled. The "Version Information" box will let you know that Flash is not on your computer.

Step 3: Install the latest version of Flash 

Click the following link: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

Then, click "Get the latest version" and the installation process should begin.

Please Note: Windows users, must use Internet Explorer browser to install and get the latest version of Flash. That is, open http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html using Internet Explorer browser, and install the latest version of Flash.

Step 4: Restart your computer and open Smilebox

Updating to the latest version of Smilebox and Adobe Flash player should resolve most problems.
