Here's how to uninstall/reinstall Smilebox-
- The first thing to do is please close the tray icon that displays in the lower right corner of Windows (or the upper right menu on Mac). The Smilebox tray/menu icon appears when you first install Smilebox. Closing this first will assist in this process. Right click the Smilebox icon to bring up the menu, then click Exit (or Quit on Mac) to close the tray altogether.
- Once the tray is closed, please uninstall Smilebox:
For Windows customers: Go to the Windows Control Panel (for example from Start, then Settings, then Control Panel) and select "Add or Remove Programs". When the list of programs comes up, click on Smilebox and then on the "Remove" button. (If you are using a partner version of Smilebox it may have a slightly different name, such as, Hallmark Smilebox.)
- Once you have successfully removed the program, you have to Restart your computer then reinstall Smilebox by going to the following link:
There are several versions of Smilebox. Please choose the one you originally installed. Example: If you came in via "Hallmark" originally, please download Hallmark Smilebox.
This will reinstall a fresh copy of the software. It will not affect any of the saved creations that you stored in "My Creations", since those are stored locally on your computer and will not change (As long as you are using the same computer and email address). It will clear out your Photo Well photos, add them back from original folders and will also clear your “My Designs” tab, just down load those designs again from our catalog.
Another alternative is to save the shared creation from Account Information Page- http://my.smilebox.com using the “Save it” feature.
When you launch Smilebox after the reinstall, the Photo Well will contain pictures from your My Pictures directory (or from Mac IPhoto Library).
Step 4. Once you have installed, restart your computer, close all other applications (including email) to run Smilebox and see if it has fixed your issue.
